Atlas Honda Set to Launch Electric Scooter in Pakistan

Atlas Honda has officially announced its plan to launch its first electric scooter in Pakistan during the current fiscal year (before June 30, 2025). The company shared this update through a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday.
The announcement comes shortly after the federal government introduced the National Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy 2025–30, aimed at reducing fuel dependency and encouraging eco-friendly transportation solutions.
Working With Authorities for a Smooth Launch
Atlas Honda confirmed that it is working closely with regulatory bodies to obtain the required permissions and approvals for a smooth rollout. The company emphasized that quality and road tests are already underway. If all goes according to plan, Atlas Honda’s electric scooter will officially launch before June 30, 2025, aligning with the end of the current financial year.

Government Push for EVs
The EV policy is part of the government’s larger vision for a cleaner and energy-efficient Pakistan. According to Haroon Akhtar Khan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production, the target is for 30% of all new vehicles in Pakistan to be electric by 2030.
The policy is expected to bring several key benefits:
- Save approximately 2.07 billion liters of fuel per year
- Cut carbon emissions by 4.5 million tons annually
- Reduce public health costs by $405 million
- Save nearly $1 billion in foreign exchange
What This Means for Pakistan
Atlas Honda’s move to introduce an electric scooter represents a major advancement for both the automotive industry and environmental sustainability in Pakistan. As a trusted name in motorcycles, Honda’s entry into the EV space could help build confidence among consumers and encourage wider acceptance of electric vehicles.
With the launch expected before mid-2025, Pakistani consumers can soon expect a cleaner, quieter, and more affordable two-wheeler alternative.
