Get Your International Driving License in Pakistan Within 5 Minutes – Complete Guide

For Pakistanis planning to travel abroad, there’s great news: you can now obtain your International Driving License (IDL) in just five minutes, without any delays or long queues.

New IDL Kiosk Installed at Lahore Airport

A special self-service kiosk has been launched at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, by the Punjab Traffic Police. This is the first-ever digital kiosk in Pakistan designed to issue international driving licenses directly from the airport.

The initiative was launched by the Chief Traffic Officer of Lahore, Dr. Muhammad Athar Waheed, who stated that the facility is aimed at making things easier for overseas Pakistanis and international travelers, especially those short on time.

Designed for Fast and Hassle-Free Service

According to the CTO, this digital booth will save passengers valuable time and simplify the process of getting their IDL. Required documents will be processed quickly, and the overall experience will be much smoother.

Plans are in place to deploy the same system at major airports throughout Pakistan to make the service more widely available.

Use of the License Abroad

This international driving license will allow Pakistani citizens to legally drive in 132 countries, making it essential for those visiting or working overseas.

Who Can Apply?

To qualify for the International Driving License, you must already have a valid local Pakistani driving license. Without it, the IDL cannot be issued.

How Much Does It Cost?

The fee for the IDL depends on the type of vehicle you drive. For exact fee details, users can visit the official website of Punjab Traffic Police or check the fee section provided at the kiosk.
