NADRA’s Big News Free ID Card for First-Time Applicants
NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) has shared a big update for people in Pakistan. Now, if you are applying for your first ID card, you can get it for free. This offer is only for the regular (non-smart) ID card.

No Need for Smart Card
If you already have a regular ID card, you don’t need to upgrade to a smart card. You can still renew, update, or reapply for the same type of ID. NADRA has made the regular ID card more useful with some new features.
New Features in Regular ID Cards
The updated non-chip ID cards now include:

- A colored photo for better checking
- A QR code that gives you a digital copy of your ID through the Pak-ID mobile app
